Artisan spotlight: Brianne Becker

Self-described wife, mother and second-generation potter Brianne Becker handmakes each of our Love is Patient Stoneware Wedding Bowls. Every wheel-thrown bowl is hand-glazed by Brianne in cream and brown and inscribed with, “Love is patient, love is kind. It always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. Love never fails.”

Based in southeast Wisconsin, she works out of a remodeled 1928 dairy barn that also houses her husband’s studio: Bryan Becker Clay Werks. According to Brianne, “The main focus of my shop is to offer beautifully inscribed bowls for each individual but there are days I catch the creative bug and want to make something fun and unique!”

Her high-fire stoneware is sturdy and safe for the dishwasher, microwave and oven.
